HELLO!
We're Claire and John Sheehan - a married couple living in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire. Together we are Foster Sheehan Photography and we adore every second of it.
To tell you a little about our story, we met way back in 2005 when John was moving to London for work and Claire was a post-graduate student. Love blossomed quickly, and we have been each other's person ever since. In 2009 we gave up the Big Smoke and moved to leafy Warwickshire where we got used to a slower pace of life with John working in corporate recovery and Claire at an insurance company. Fast forward to 2020, when our shared photography hobby made its first steps to be something more - we were chosen to photograph (and be witnesses!) at an elopement wedding! This experience was thrilling, frightening and just plain awesome. Maybe it could be something more?
From there we booked our first full day wedding, and the rest they say is history.
Weddings are what we do, and we love them.
Well, we're a package deal so you always get the both of us photographing your wedding. This suits us (we soppily love spending time together... sickening, we know!) as we work well as a team and makes for great photography - we don't need to rush here and there to get different view points.
Our approach is a mix of candid, storytelling and traditional photography styles. For the majority of the day our aim is to blend into the background and document everything that's happening - the joy, the laughter, the love and the happy tears. Then, when the time's right, we're there to direct your nearest and dearest into the right spots for the group photos. After that its time to whisk the happy couple away for a short time with just the two of us, so you get to talk with each other and we get to take some beautifully natural couple's portraits. We're not the type to strictly pose you - we give you some direction and snap away as you interact with each other. The result is you get lots of lovely photos where you look like you, not an awkwardly posed version!
On your wedding day we'll be there to capture every gorgeous moment for you (plus we're ace at getting stuck in when needed - dress holding, cufflink straightening, child wrangling, calming of nerves, we're there for it all!)

bad at selfies - great at wedding photography!Claire's favourite things include rabbits, cake, talking to animals like they might talk back and cosy evenings at home watching TV.
John's favourite things include dogs, craft beer, updating his top burgers of the world list and people complimenting his beard (much to his mother and mother-in law's disgust!).
